Working with Parents & Carers

We want to work closely with our parents and carers to provide a safe and happy environment for our pupils, families and staff.

We therefore respectfully ask family members to ensure that they consult staff at any of our academies with respect. We appreciate that at times, there may be a disagreement and we want to work with our families to find swift and effective solutions. It is important for our children to recognise that school and home are working together.

It takes a village to raise a child.
And being a parent can be lonely.

They say it takes a village to raise a child.

Help us to build our own village here in our local community.

EVERY CHILD.

What are we trying to achieve?

It is our aim to give our children the very best possible chance when starting school, in order to help them thrive in school and beyond.

How will we do this?

We will support our parents by:

  • Helping to reduce sources of stress for parents.

  • Supporting with ways to enhance positive wellbeing.

  • Strengthening core skills.

  • Helping our parents to build support networks.

EVERY FAMILY.

Why?

That during the first few years of a child’s life, their brain forms the fastest and by the age of 5, the brain is 90% developed.

Children who by the age of three have developed strong self-control, are less likely to develop health problems or be convicted of a criminal offence, and are more likely to be financially secure as adults.

“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men”
