Exploring money in Maths

Class: Year 3 Year: 2022 - 2023

We are currently learning about money. It allows pupils to consolidate previous learning on recognising different denominations (both notes and coins) and the simple addition and subtraction of money. It further develops the concepts related to addition and subtraction of money using number bonds as a key method. Pupils are then expected to apply their new knowledge to solve word problems using bar modelling as a key strategy.
