Nursery Admission
Children are admitted to the Nursery from a waiting list. The minimum age of entry is 3 years old and children usually attend on a full-time basis after an initial staggered intake, the length of which is based upon the child.
Admission preference is given to children who have a brother or sister already attending the school, as well as on the basis of distance between home and school. Children who live closest are given priority.
Please contact the school administrator in order to place your child’s name on the waiting list. We recommend doing this as early as possible so as to avoid disappointment as our Nursery is always oversubscribed.
Please note that acceptance of a Nursery place at Peel Hall Primary School does NOT guarantee a place in the Reception class.
Reception Admission
Children are admitted to the Reception class in the September of the year they are five. Admissions to the Reception class are controlled by Manchester Local Authority, who will send admission forms out to parents in the Autumn term before they are due to start. Parents/carers wishing to view the school are very welcome.
In Year Admissions
If you require a place for your child outside of the Reception class, in years 1-6, the same admission procedures have to be followed as for the children entering Reception. Parents can contact the school to see if we have any vacancies in their preferred year groups, but they will also need to contact Manchester Local Authority Admissions so that their child can be placed on a waiting list, and a place to be allocated to the school when possible.
