What an amazing week! It has been an absolute pleasure taking these wonderful children to PGL!
UPDATE – 14.2.19 – We have been practicing our map reading skills before orienteering. Let’s see how well we can do! These pictures show us setting off to find the control points, problem solving but without being able to talk, and being tangled with up in knots! Tonight, the children are looking forward to their final evening with a disco!
14.2.19 – Mr Hallam went to visit the children last night and said he was thrilled to see how much they were enjoying their time and activities. He said the children were thriving.
13.2.19 – Ready for the climbing wall! We are having lots of fun!
13.2.19 – The children are having a really fun time, the children are challenging themselves to do activities that they have never had the chance to do before are are overcoming their fears. We will keep trying to add some photos, but at the moment the wifi at Winmarleigh Hall is too temperamental for us to send!
13.2.19 – we are currently updating the school app, so updates from the trip will be shown here. Miss Brownlee has been in touch to say that the children are having a fabulous time. All the children are blossoming and thriving at Winmarleigh Hall. Mr Hallam is off to visit the children after school tonight to see how they are getting on, and we will post more updates as soon as we can!
12.2.19 – The children are having a lovely time and are enjoying all of the activities. We will be uploading pictures of what the children have been doing shortly.
11.2.19 – We have arrived safe and sound at Winmarleigh Hall and are already having a wonderful time! We are all well fed, full of delicious doughnuts. We can’t wait for a sing song around the campfire!
In Year 6 we have been learning all about World War 2. We have been lucky enough to re-enact the life of an evacuee whilst on a trip to Stockport Air Raid Shelter. Here are a few photographs.
Here are some photographs of our final year 6 assembly. All children used their knowledge of WW2 to convey what life would be like for both adults and children during this difficult time.
All year 6 children created the background and Air Raid Shelter. Thank you to Mr Jacob for helping create such an effective backdrop to our assembly.
