School Meals
Due to Covid-19 restrictions for September, although the school kitchen is open, guidance requires that they prepare packed lunches from September as they have done over the Summer term. Parents will be updated as soon as this changes.
Dinner money must be paid in advance, either weekly, monthly or termly. It is collected and counted every Monday and should be handed into the school office in a labelled envelope. Arrears are not acceptable.
You may pay in cash or by cheque (made payable to Peel Hall Primary School).
The price of school meals from September 2020 is:
Ready reckoner:
5 lunches (a normal week) £11.50
4 lunches £9.20
3 lunches £6.90
2 lunches £4.60
1 lunch £2.30
Under the Universal Free School Meals Scheme, children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are not required to pay anything for their school meals. However, the school needs to know in advance if your child does not require an ordered school meal for any reason.
If your child is absent for any reason in a particular week, you will be entitled to one credit for each day’s absence.
The school requires two weeks’ notice of changes to or from school lunches.
If you have any queries or problems regarding school lunches, or think your child may be entitled to free school meals at any time, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
