Good evening, firstly I would like to apologise for contacting you at this time of the evening but based on the Prime Minister’s address to the nation I’m sure you can understand the need for me to contact you at this time.
I would like to say that staff had been busy in school today making arrangements for Wednesday and updating our risk assessments but when we heard of the Prime Minister’s plans to address the nation this evening we held off sharing these with you as we anticipated that the situation was going to change.
We will now open for children of key workers and other identified children from Wednesday 6th January 2021.
We are aware that family circumstances can change so please contact school via the main school email address admin@peelhall.manchester.sch.uk if you are not currently on our key worker list or if you feel that your child is vulnerable in any way. If you are already on our key worker / vulnerable list you will be contacted tomorrow, Tuesday 5th January 2021, and arrangements will be made for your child/ren to come to school from Wednesday 6th January 2021.
All other pupils will be taught online via Microsoft Teams and Class Dojo from Wednesday 6th January 2021. We will be in contact with you tomorrow with further information about remote learning.
We will be in further contact with regards to children, who are eligible for means tested free school meals, when we have been given further guidance and information about the provision that will be in place.
As always, I would like to thank you for your support and understanding with this ever evolving situation and for supporting your children to get online to do their learning. We have a limited number of iPads that will be available on loan to families, who need these to access remote learning. Work packs will take a little longer to organise but we will aim to make these available, if needed, for children who are struggling to access remote learning.
Most importantly, stay safe.
Many thanks for your support and understanding.
Miss Brownlee
