We don’t currently have a PTA, although we have a ‘Friends of Peel Hall Primary School Parents and Teachers support group’ instead.
The purpose of this group is to organise events, which enrich the curriculum, bring the community together and allow our families to celebrate various themes and events within the school community. For example, the group may organise a Christmas Fair, school discos, or special events evenings. All money raised goes into a parents support group bank account, which is used to directly fund extra-curricular events or subsidise trips, which cannot be done through the school budget.
All money raised by this group is spent on the children, in terms of improving the opportunities for visits, adding to the playground, or buying resources that are non-essential for the children such as Christmas presents.
